Photo Series of the Day: The first photos of the so-called Fukushima Fifty — the fifty heroic nuclear reactor employees working around the clock to prevent a meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant — have finally emerged.
An additional 150 workers have since joined the original fifty, of which five are believed to have died. Many of those inside the plant readily admit that, while they are still alive, they know radiation poisoning will eventually kill them.

Oh god that’s so brave but so awful :’(

Avatar Watashi wa Romy desu ^_^ It has recently come to my attention that I am a 'weeaboo.'

I am cynical, teenage, and Australian. Though I'd rather be Japanese... or black...or British...or Scandinavian... the point is I wish I had SOME interesting heritage :P

Underlying characteristics of my personality: Easily depressed by things fictional and non-fictional, easily attached to people fictional and non-fictional, easily obsessed by people and things fictional and non fictional, a tad shy/socially awkward, pop culture fiend, convinced that I was born in the wrong era, sexual orientation: band members. I like creative gaff, like origami and drawing/painting, and more recently taking (shithouse) photos. Love music. Have accumulated bands to listen to as a result of many periodical obsessions. At least half of them are British. Currently developing weakness for J-Pop and K-Pop

I love Japanese art, origami, Gothic Lolita, manga, anime, graphic novels, Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett, groovy clothes, blowing bubbles and dancing (like a twat). As far as comics go Death Note, Tank Girl, and Watchmen are among my favourites.

FANDOMS:

Donnie Darko, Death Note, L, Jim Morrison, George Harrison, Sergio Pizzorno, Damon Albarn, Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Tank Girl, Psychedelic gaff,

BANDOMS:

Radiohead, Kasabian, Gorillaz, Beatles, Blur, Oasis, Weezer, Doves, Portishead, Bat for Lashes, Goldfrapp, Metronomy, Simon & Garfunkel, Little Dragon, The Cure, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Cranberries, Led Zeppelin, Tame Impala, The Doors…

I dislike wankers and people who can’t tolerate anything remotely morbid or dark. I also can’t stand fake, pretentious or sugar coated people.

If you wanna check out my shitty ‘art:’ (yaay shamless self-promotion)
